As of 23rd March, the Society is suspending meetings until further notice on the basis of the Government guidelines regarding the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. We hope to resume our activities in the near future, but the current prognosis is that June is likely to be the earliest date we might be able to meet again. More details to follow as we get them, and we will make decisions in the light of best advice and keeping our members and presenters safe.

Welcome

The NHWS is a friendly and informal group of around 20 people who get together once a month to enjoy a glass (or several) of wine.

You donít need to know anything about wine to come along. After all, the whole idea of the tastings is for us all to learn something as well as enjoy a social evening Ö. and (if you're not driving) leave a little less sober than you arrived.

You don't even need to be a member, although there are clear benefits to membership (discount on tastings, monthly newsletter, input to the running of the society).

We have a broad range of ages so, no matter how old or young you are, you won't feel out of place.

We usually meet at 7.45pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month for pre-meeting drinks with the presentation starting at 8pm. You will find us in the Chapter Room, St. Michaels Church Rooms, Church Square, Basingstoke, RG21 7QW. This building is found behind St. Michaels Church on Church Street, and has ample parking.

Basingstoke is easily reached from Camberley, Hook, Hartley Wintney, Odiham, Alton, Andover, Winchester, Newbury, Fleet and Farnham. We have members from all of these areas.
